Donald James "D.J." Machale is the author of the Pendragon Adventure series. His other book series include Morpheus Road, SYLO, and The Library. He has produced multiple movies and television series, such as Are You Afraid of The Dark?, Flight 29 Down, GhostWriter, Tower of Terror, and Encyclopedia Brown; boy detective.

D.J. graduated from New York University with a BFA in film production. He lives in California with his wife, Evangeline, and daughter, Keaton.
